Mark joined haysmacintyre in 2004 where he trained and qualified in the audit department. He moved to specialise in business taxation in 2007 and worked his way through the ranks to be promoted to Partner in April 2016.
Having started his career in audit, Mark developed an interest in tax and enjoyed advising clients on matters that affect them and their business. His background places him in an excellent position to be able to advise clients from both an accounting and tax point of view, providing them with comprehensive joined up advice.
Mark provides tax advisory services for our clients with particular experience in the hospitality sector. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge on matters such as employee equity incentives including Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI) scheme, group restructuring and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) support and venture capital schemes such as Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS).
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA).
In his spare time he is a Chairman and regular player of an amateur football club, which is over 120 years old. He enjoys all sports, regularly playing golf, tennis and badminton.
