Rico enjoys helping clients to achieve their ambitions – from start-up, growth phase through to exit planning and retirement.
Rico has over seven years of experience in corporation tax compliance and broader advisory. His specialisms include R&D and creative sector reliefs and capital allowances. As an R&D specialist, he has broad experience in the preparation of R&D tax relief claims and is able to advise on how to both maximise the value and reduce the risk of making a claim. He has prepared claims for a range of businesses, across multiple sectors and including some household names.
Prior to joining haysmacintyre, Rico trained at Grant Thornton and Smith and Williamson before joining EY’s R&D team.
Beyond haysmacintyre, Rico is a keen sports coach and community volunteer which anchors him to his local community and bolsters his awareness of local issues.
In his spare time, Rico enjoys tennis, rugby, film & TV and attempting ambitious DIY projects.
