2022 has so far been free of government-imposed restrictions, however individuals and businesses are still continuing to adapt to the post-pandemic circumstances and find their own balance. In the wake of this, with inflation rising to its highest level in decades, organisations are turning towards cost saving measures and reviewing their governance frameworks to ensure they are appropriate for the new world before them.

The case for a robust Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy has become increasingly important over recent years. Kathryn Burton, Partner and Head of PIMBs, explores the requirements and provides guidance to membership bodies on how and why to report in this area.

After the infamous collapse of Kids Company, the Charity Commission has now been able to conclude its inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this. Vikram Sandhu, Director, explores the key findings and how, nearly seven years later, these findings remain of utmost importance for all Boards to consider.

Hannah Chilmaid

As a linguist, Hannah works closely alongside our MSI Global Alliance counterparts in both Germany and Austria.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Hannah is the Chairperson of an expanding cycling club based in South London, this bolsters her awareness of the struggles business owners experience first-hand.

In her spare time, Hannah is often out cycling (especially if it’s sunny), playing badminton or walking her dog.

Olivia Truelove-Dodd

Olivia specialises in all areas of bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns and statutory financial statements and her passion is finding ways of making her client’s lives easier. Olivia enjoys supporting her clients through sharing her expertise and advice on management reporting, cashflow management, software support and general accounting advice and guidance. Olivia’s portfolio ranges over various sectors including hospitality, financial services, property and consultancy.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2021, Olivia was a Manager in a London accounting firm, leading the outsourcing team, and working closely with the Partners.

In her spare time, Olivia enjoys spending time with her family, drinking coffee and wine and having a shopping spree!

Wesley Parker

Wes has a proven track record of supporting his clients’ outsourcing and compliance requirements, including GABRIEL/RegData reporting. Wes prides himself on building strong relationships with his clients and advising on system controls.

Wes owns and holds ‘involved’ management positions for both a property investment company and a fish & chip shop/restaurant, which ideally places him in providing business insights and advisory services based on his own experiences of ‘sitting on both sides of the fence’.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in January 2015 and specialising in outsourcing services, Wes trained at a small practice based in North London gaining experience in accounts, audit and tax.

Before his career in accountancy, Wes was a professional/semi-professional footballer making over 500 senior appearances. He is an endurance sport enthusiast, finishing multiple full-distance Ironman events, but you will mostly find him on the golf course in his spare time.

Donna Russell

Donna has a large portfolio of clients spanning from owner managed businesses to complex groups across a range of sectors, including property, CMT and financial services.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2018, Donna trained and qualified at a small practice gaining experience in accounts, audit and tax.

In her spare time, Donna enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures, eating out at new restaurants and the occasional DIY project.

Robert Brooker

Being both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser allows Robert to provide his clients with a commercial and holistic offering, whilst being able to fully understand the impacts and processes behind the advice provided.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2021, Robert worked in a large independent practice in the City of London where he completed the ACA/CTA Joint Programme.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys watching/playing sport, especially Rugby.

Richard McLoughlin

He is a Director in our outsourced accountancy services team, and supports his clients by not only providing monthly and year end financial reporting, but also through sharing his expertise and advice on management reporting, cashflow management, software support and general accounting advice and guidance. He joined haysmacintyre in 2010 as a qualified supervisor, having trained and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with a smaller firm in Stoke-on-Trent.

Richard works with clients over a wide range of sectors, including CMT, financial services and PIMBS. Richard has excellent working relationships with his clients and is often viewed as an extension of their own team rather than as an external consultant.
