Jonny Broadley

Jonny enjoys advising clients on diverse and challenging matters which extend beyond the audit, such as corporate governance and operating with an international reach.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2020, Jonny was a manager at the National Audit Office, where he had key roles in the HM Treasury, FCO and Home Office teams. He also represented the United Nations Board of Auditors covering their peace keeping operations around the world. Prior to that, Jonny trained and qualified with Deloitte working across both not for profit and corporate clients.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Jonny has worked with Accounting for International Development to advise on improving the financial capacity for overseas charities.

In his spare time, Jonny enjoys golf, tennis and skiing.

Jackson Berry

Jackson advises clients on the correct interpretation of relevant accounting standards, and provides ongoing support on such matters beyond the audit timeframe. He believes in a manager-led approach to offer experienced advice and to build strong client relationships, and is the main point of contact for a number of clients.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in early 2021, Jackson was a manager at a leading London-based firm of Chartered Accountants, where he acted as the firm’s charities expert and a key member of the training team, with focus on presenting updates and training on the NFP sector to all levels within the firm and leading the audit and assurance training for graduates.

Jackson also has wide experience in auditing and advising other entities, ranging from landed estates, renewable energy producers, clothing retailers, and companies investing in or constructing properties. He is familiar with a number of different accounting standards and has assisted clients in transitioning between these.

In his spare time, Jackson enjoys long dog walks, cycling and gardening.

Andrew Roberts

Andrew focuses on international charities, as well as school clients. Andrew has assisted a number of clients with mergers, advising on due diligence.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2020, Andrew worked at another mid tier firm delivering audit and accountancy advise to charity and not for profit clients.

Outside of the workplace, Andrew sits on the audit and risk committee for a large group of further education colleges and also sits on the finance committee for a smaller charity which uses the power of football to work with children to improve their outcomes at school.

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending timer with his family and pottering around his garden.

Tim Bennet

Tim ensures his audits are delivered as efficiently as possible, whilst maintaining a thorough level of review and high audit quality.

Tim qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016 whilst working for a two-partner firm in Surrey which specialises in charity audits. After developing his experience in commercial audits for another top-25 accountancy firm, he decided to specialise in the not-for-profit sector and, to this end, joined haysmacintyre in 2018.

Outside of work, Tim is the Treasurer of the Tennis section of a nearby sports club.

Tim enjoys as much tennis, squash, and running as he can fit in between looking after his young daughter, born in 2020.

Kamlesh Chauhan

The VAT rules are constantly evolving with continual changes in HMRC practice and guidance, case law, and VAT legislation. Kam ensures that he is up to date with VAT developments and keeps clients informed on how any changes may affect them. As an experienced VAT adviser, Kam prides himself on being able to explain complex VAT matters to clients in way that they can understand.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2012, Kam worked for a ‘Top 10’ accountancy firm for a number of years in a generalist role as well as being a member of a ‘Big 4’ VAT team specialising in Financial Services.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Kam is involved in the VAT Practitioners Group which is an organisation that brings together individuals with an interest in VAT from a variety of backgrounds to share VAT knowledge.

In his spare time, Kam enjoys spending time with his young children, playing sports, and reading detective novels.

Vikram Sandhu

In addition to providing clients with audit and accounting assistance, Vikram has also presented to Trustees on governance requirements and the practical application of financial reporting for charities helping organisations best convey the impact of their work in their accounts. Vikram has also completed financial modelling and forecasting work for schools and overseeing due diligence projects.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre, Vikram was an Associate Director at Buzzacott where he was a key member of their charities and education team. More recently he worked for Menzies where he helped grow their not for profit service provision.

Until recently, Vikram was a governor and a member of the finance committee of a local academy school.

Vikram is an avid follower of all sports, playing five-a-side football and golf and he enjoys spending his free time with his young family.

Tom Brain

Tom has been a specialist in the not for profit sector for almost 20 years and his client work is focused on Professional Institutes and Membership Bodies (PIMBs) and Faith charities. Tom’s main responsibility in the technical arena is developing and managing the firm’s internal audit quality monitoring policies and processes, but his technical role is diverse and includes developing firm-wide audit guidance, providing support to audit engagement teams on accounting and audit matters, and delivering internal and external training on financial reporting and governance matters.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2009, Tom was an audit manager at a top 20 firm, specialising in the not for profit sector.

Outside the office, Tom is a trustee of a small theatre charity, which helps him to understand the pressures that his clients are facing.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys cycling and playing cricket, as well as spending as much time as possible with his young daughter.

Stephanie Parker

Stephanie works with UK and offshore trustees to manage their UK tax compliance and accounting requirements. She has particular expertise in managing the complex tax issues surrounding offshore trusts with UK beneficiaries or UK assets, and ensures that her clients don’t fall foul of the many tax traps that exist for the unwary. She also advises on all aspects of inheritance tax including general planning to mitigate liabilities, Business Property Relief reviews and HMRC submissions for both Estates and Trusts.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2018, Stephanie worked in a number of award winning private client teams and has sat on the other side of the fence managing the trust team in a large single family office.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Stephanie sits on the committee of the STEP Kent branch and is a Trustee of her local Girlguiding division. In 2018 she was invited by the Office of Tax Simplification to sit on the Consultative Committee for their Inheritance Tax Review enabling her to put the ‘real world’ issues faced by clients to decision makers.

In her spare time Stephanie enjoys cooking, family holidays and a good book.

Siobhan Holmes

Siobhan enjoys advising clients technical matters and sector specific updates. Not only does she speak at events and provide training on issues such as charity accounting and the governance code, she is actively involved in producing and delivering our Quarterly Charity Updates and NFP eNews.

Siobhan joined haysmacintyre in 2011 as a trainee after graduating from UCL.

Outside of haysmacintyre Siobhan is a trustee of a local care charity, which has given her a greater understanding of the challenges her clients face.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her ever growing little boy.

Nick Bustin

Nick heads up the Employment taxes team at haysmacintyre. He works with many of the firm’s clients advising them on the challenges which they face, owing to changes in the legislation. Nick provides regular updates and is a regular speaker on employment tax issues at conferences and seminars.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2014 Nick was an Employment Taxes Senior Manager at a top 10 firm.

Away from haysmacintyre, Nick is a trustee for national charity which has helped him to understand the “client’s prospective” when he advises his own clients.

In his spare time Nick enjoys tai chi often travelling to Canada, the USA and across Europe to attend events and photography.
