Riocard Hoye

Riocard previously spent over 5 years at HMRC, including 3 years in the Fraud Investigation Service (FIS), HMRC’s top compliance team. He has a detailed knowledge of HMRC powers and processes, which he has built on since moving to private practice. His range of experience ensures he is well placed to achieve the best result for his clients and to deliver a personal service.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2021, Riocard was a senior manager at a top 20 firm.

In his spare time, Riocard enjoys watching sport, quizzes and spending time with friends and family.

Kiran Chotai

Having a broad range of experience under his belt, Kiran, whilst specialising in matters such as Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax, has a good understanding of the other taxes, and so enjoys advising clients taking a holistic approach.

Kiran joined haysmacintyre in 2006 from a small firm where he had gained experience in bookkeeping, VAT compliance, payroll matters, accounts preparation, corporate and personal tax compliance, audit and overall practice management.

Outside of haysmacintyre, Kiran does a lot of voluntary work with charities that promote education, spiritual well-being, yoga and help alleviate hunger in the UK and in the Asian sub-continent.

In his spare time, Kiran enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling and playing (and trying to sing!) the harmonium, a traditional Indian instrument.

Robert Brooker

Being both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser allows Robert to provide his clients with a commercial and holistic offering, whilst being able to fully understand the impacts and processes behind the advice provided.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2021, Robert worked in a large independent practice in the City of London where he completed the ACA/CTA Joint Programme.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys watching/playing sport, especially Rugby.

Kamlesh Chauhan

The VAT rules are constantly evolving with continual changes in HMRC practice and guidance, case law, and VAT legislation. Kam ensures that he is up to date with VAT developments and keeps clients informed on how any changes may affect them. As an experienced VAT adviser, Kam prides himself on being able to explain complex VAT matters to clients in way that they can understand.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2012, Kam worked for a ‘Top 10’ accountancy firm for a number of years in a generalist role as well as being a member of a ‘Big 4’ VAT team specialising in Financial Services.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Kam is involved in the VAT Practitioners Group which is an organisation that brings together individuals with an interest in VAT from a variety of backgrounds to share VAT knowledge.

In his spare time, Kam enjoys spending time with his young children, playing sports, and reading detective novels.

Richard McLoughlin

He is a Director in our outsourced accountancy services team, and supports his clients by not only providing monthly and year end financial reporting, but also through sharing his expertise and advice on management reporting, cashflow management, software support and general accounting advice and guidance. He joined haysmacintyre in 2010 as a qualified supervisor, having trained and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with a smaller firm in Stoke-on-Trent.

Richard works with clients over a wide range of sectors, including CMT, financial services and PIMBS. Richard has excellent working relationships with his clients and is often viewed as an extension of their own team rather than as an external consultant.

Nick Bustin

Nick heads up the Employment taxes team at haysmacintyre. He works with many of the firm’s clients advising them on the challenges which they face, owing to changes in the legislation. Nick provides regular updates and is a regular speaker on employment tax issues at conferences and seminars.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2014 Nick was an Employment Taxes Senior Manager at a top 10 firm.

Away from haysmacintyre, Nick is a trustee for national charity which has helped him to understand the “client’s prospective” when he advises his own clients.

In his spare time Nick enjoys tai chi often travelling to Canada, the USA and across Europe to attend events and photography.

Mark Baycroft

Mark enjoys creative thinking to advise on challenging technical problems in any area of tax, particularly where multiple taxes are involved, and does not restrict himself to purely business/corporate or personal taxes. Mark thrives on variety and is always looking to get involved in a new problem or a new area.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2020, Mark had spent a year at an independent tax consultancy, following over 20 years with a top 20 firm.

Mark is an active member of his local institute branches and regularly lectures and chairs discussion groups on a variety of tax topics, giving him a broad awareness of tax issues facing small and large businesses.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys countryside walks, cooking and a rekindled passion for Lego models.

Karen Allan

As well as acting as principal on audit engagements, leading clients through their year-end audit process, Karen works on a number of advisory pieces and CASS audit services to regulated clients. This broad range of services has allowed Karen to build strong commercial knowledge within the sector and her experience has been invaluable.

Karen is a key contributor to the financial services sector, responsible for staff management, training and providing editorial content such as articles and insights. She regularly attends events and conferences and enjoys bumping into clients and contacts.

Building strong relationships with her clients is what Karen considers to be vital to providing an excellent service, and this enables her to act in the capacity of business advisor, keeping in touch and maintaining an interest in their businesses.

Karen is a competitive hockey player and loves to travel and experience new countries when she is not visiting her home country, South Africa.

Dominic Noakes

Dominic specialises in cloud based technology and is responsible for leading on, maintaining and developing relationships with key service providers such as Xero and the related Apps utilised by haysmacintyre’s Business Support team. Dominic works pro-actively with clients to ensure they have a regular line of communication, with advice and guidance provided in a professional but easy to understand manner.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre in 2016, Dominic trained and qualified with a small practice, where he became a finance manager specialising in outsourced accounting.

Beyond haysmacintyre, Dominic is very interested in technology and how it impacts our daily lives. He is passionate about the use of technology in improving workflows and automation to make a real impact on small business owners lives.

Outside of work Dominic enjoys time with his young family and is a sports enthusiast who aims to have an active lifestyle.

Danielle Ford

Leading haysmacintyre’s Tax Disputes and Resolutions team, Danielle excels at advising clients on complex matters including tax avoidance schemes, COP8 and COP9 cases, disputes with HMRC, negotiating settlements with HMRC, voluntary disclosures and Time to Pay arrangements. Her experience covers all taxes. Danielle’s professionalism and experience provides comfort to clients, whilst her knowledge of tax legislation secures the best possible outcome.

A regular contributor to industry publications and events, Danielle shares insights, updates and trends with clients to ensure early action and prompt resolution.
