Marketing Executive (12 Month FTC)

To provide support to haysmacintyre across a range of marketing and business development disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, professional and highly regarded team in a role that offers exposure to a wide range of marketing and business development activities and, as such, a solid foundation for someone seeking to develop a career in professional services marketing. The role will be split across marketing initiatives, bid creation and events management for the not for profit sector and services, requiring someone with proven bid experience, strong project management, coordination and prioritisation skills.

Business Development
• Bid management:

  • Undertake fact finding calls with prospective clients
  • Customise bid documents to answer ITTs/RFPs in a dynamic and responsive manner
  • Create InDesign and PowerPoint templates for bids
  • Run presentation rehearsals and debrief calls
  • Create and develop new content: keep up to date with bid best practice
  • Analyse tender outcomes and produce monthly statistics
  • Evaluate recent bids and make recommendations on how to improve submissions

• Sector meetings

  • Prepare information packs including targeting and marketing activity updates

• Support campaigns through business research
• Leverage a selection of sponsorships and partnerships

Marketing
• Communications

  • Prepare and distribute insights, articles, publications and event invitations to clients, targets and our internal audience
  • Working with partners and managers to update and maintain sector focus areas of the website
  • Updating and creating content for social media channels

• Press coverage posts via all marketing channels

Events

  • Responsible for the delivery of events, both online and in person
  • End-to-end event management and co-ordination including coordinating invitee and RSVP lists, issuing a communication suite via e-comms or hardcopy, preparing name badges, producing and collating delegate packs, reviewing feedback, on the day support and issuing internal communications
  • Support larger firmwide events
  • Support with external coordination of exhibitions and conferences
  • Assist with website bookings and payments for paid for events

The Candidate

Essential Work-Based Competencies

  • Bid experience
  • Strong proofreading/editing skills
  • Proven writing skills – in web content/advertising/direct mail
  • Strong prioritising skills and working to deadlines
  • Microsoft Office suite – particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable Work-Based Competencies

  • Experienced in professional services or partnership environment
  • Events coordination experience
  • Writing skills – in web content/advertising/direct mail
  • Social media – LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign
  • Relational databases and/or CRM systems
