Sophy Ghosh

To see clients growing and flourishing is one of Sophy’s greatest pleasures, and her focus is on making sure clients have the tools and understanding they need to make better decisions for their businesses.

Sophy specialises in providing high level technical advice on SEIS, EIS and share schemes, as well as supporting her tech-focused client base through the obstacle course of R&D tax credit claims and myriad Corporation Tax challenges. Her portfolios have spanned everything from retail to tech startups, financial services to hotels, and now currently firmly resides in the Creative, Media & Technology sector.

Before joining haysmacintyre in 2020, Sophy was a Projects Director (Tax) at ChadSan, a growing accountancy firm focused on the startup and creative OMB space, supporting the firm’s client base with mixed tax advisory and personal tax support.

If not typing away at her desk or on calls to clients at haysmacintyre, Sophy likes to keep up with international events and tax issues, to keep her understanding of macroeconomic matters broad and timely to understand client needs.

When there’s time to stretch muscles, Sophy enjoys kung fu and tai chi. Sparring with one’s spouse keeps everyone on their toes…!
