Sharron has been with the firm for over 20 years. She has managed a complex portfolio dealing with all aspects of personal tax, including HNWI’s, Residence and Domicile issues, wealthy families, business owners, rental properties, capital gains tax, partnerships and LLP’s as well as inheritance tax planning.

Recently, Sharron has taken on the task of managing the junior members of the private client team and has been more involved with recruitment, appraisals, implementing processes, organising training and improving the overall development of the team. In addition, she is also a mentor and a buddy for several of the team and is a member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion committee, where she has organised podcasts, written articles and arranged discussion forums and training.

Prior to joining haysmacintyre, Sharron started her career with HMRC as a Tax Advisor, before taking her first step into private practice with a small accountancy firm. There she dealt with everything from VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax as well as Personal Tax.

Sharron has previously held positions as a parent governor while her children were at primary and secondary schools.

In her spare time, Sharron is keen to give back and so volunteers as a mentor with Urban Synergy, mentoring young people in primary and secondary schools, a volunteer with the Royal Voluntary Service and DO IT volunteering service.
